UPSC Indian Forest Service Exam Pattern 2016
UPSC Indian Forest Service Exam notification will be issued every year. Authority will conduct the test at two stages i.e., Preliminary and Main Exam. Candidates who are seeking the employment in Forestry Services should crack both tests. Authority will set some cutoff marks for each test. UPSC will call up the candidates for further rounds only based on the score in prior exams.
UPSC IFS Exam will have two successive stages
- Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination
- Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination
UPSC IFS Prelims Exam Pattern 2016
Preliminary consists of two papers of Objective type for 400 marks. This preliminary test is conducted only for screening the candidates. The marks secured in this will not be considered for the final selection. This is test is only for admission into Mail Exam. There will be negative marking is applicable for incorrect answers.
- Exam comprises of two compulsory papers of 200 marks each
- Question paper will be of objective type
- General Studies paper with 33% of marks are qualifying marks
- Paper will be set into two languages Hindi and English
UPSC IFS Main Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2016
UPSC conducts this test for only eligible candidates who successfully cleared their Prelims. This test consists of 6 papers all are compulsory subjects.
