Quant Questions for RRB NTPC Exam

Now all students are searching quant questions asking in RRB NTPC Exams. Quantitative Aptitude questions are most important in RRB NTPC Exam. 25 questions asked in TTB NTPC Exam. Quant questions are very easy but very time taken questions. But when we practice more on this topic we can easily attempt more than 20 questions easily.

Topics in Quant Section in TTB NTPC Exam:

Quant section is divided into various topics like percentages, profit and loss, time and work, simplifications, boat and stream, time and distance, averages, interest, problems on age, etc. Here we are providing important and frequently asking questions in Competitive examinations.

Percentages:

  • What will be the fraction of 20% – 20*1/100 = 1/5
  • What will be the fraction of 4% – 4*1/100=1/25
  • The ratio 5:20 expressed as percent equals to – (5/20)*100=25 %
  • 09 can be expressed in terms of percentage as – 2.09 * 100 =209%
  • Half of 1 percent written as decimal is – 1/2(1/100)=0.005
  • What is 15 percent of 34 – (15/100) * 34 = 5.10
  • Evaluate 28% of 450 + 45% of 280 – (28/100) * 450 + (45/100) * 280 = 252
  • 2 is what percent of 50 – 2/50 * 100 = 4%
  • 1/2 is what percent of 1/3 – 1/2/1/3 * 100 = 150%

Profit and Loss:

  • A man buys an article for Rs. 27.50 and sells it for Rs 28.60. Find his gain percent – 4% (Gain%=((Gain/Cost)100)%)
  • A TV is purchased at Rs. 5000 and sold at Rs. 4000, find the lost percent – 20% (Loss%=((LossCost)100)%)
  • A person incurs a loss of 5% be selling a watch for Rs. 1140. At what price should the watch be sold to earn 5% profit – Rs.1260 ((100 – loss%):(1st S.P.) = (100 + gain%):(2nd S.P.))
  • A book was sold for Rs 27.50 with a profit of 10%. If it were sold for Rs. 25.75, then would have been percentage of profit and loss – 3% Profit (S.P.=(((100+gain%)/100)P))
  • Alfred buys an old scooter for Rs. 4700 and spends Rs. 800 on its repairs. If he sells the scooter for Rs. 5800, his gain percent is – 5+5/11% (Gain% = (gain/cost)*100)

Time and Work:

  • Worker A takes 8 hours to do a job. Worker B takes 10 hours to do a job. How long should it take both A and B, working together to do same job – 4+4/9
  • A and B can together complete a piece of work in 4 days. If A alone can complete the same work in 12 days, in how many days can B alone complete that work – 6 days
  • A does a work in 10 days and B does the same work in 15 days. In how many days they together will do the same work – 6 days
  • A can finish a work in 18 days and B can do same work in half the time taken by A. then working together, what part of same work they can finish in a day – 1\6
  • A is twice as good as workman as B and together they finish a piece of work in 18 days. In how many days will B alone finish the work – 54 days

Averages:

  • Average of all prime numbers between 30 to 50 – 39.8 ((31+37+41+43+47)/5)=199/5)
  • Roja obtained 65, 67, 76, 82 and 85 out of 100 in different subjects, What will be the average – 75 ((65+67+76+82+85)/5)
  • Find the sum of first 30 natural numbers – 465 (n(n+1)/2)
  • Find the average of first 10 multiples of 7 – 38.5 (7(1+2+3+…+10)/10) = 7(55)/10
  • Average of 10 numbers is zero. At most how many numbers may be greater than zero – 9

Problems on Age:

  • Krishna age after 15 years will be 5 times his age 5 years back, What is the present age of Krishna – 10 (x+15 = 5(x-5))
  • Kohli is younger than Charan by 7 years. If the ratio of their ages is 7:9, find the age of Kohli – 24.5 ((x-7)/x = 7/9)
  • The ratio between the present ages of P and Q is 6:7. If Q is 4 years old than P, what will be the ratio of the ages of P and Q after 4 years – 7:8
  • The total age of A and B is 12 years more than the total age of B and C. C is how many year younger than A – 12
  • Ratio between Charan and Priyanka is 4:3, After 6 Years Charan age will be 26 years. What is Priyanka present age – 15
